“The unexamined life is not worth living.” ~ Socrates

Mondays this month for #bloglikecrazy November will feature a Manifesto of some aspect of my life. A manifesto is simply a public declaration, mission statement or platform of intentions, values, and beliefs. So to kick things off, I am going to start with my Manifesto on the concept of being body positive. Many of my former followers know me as a #FitGirl, bodybuilder, athlete, fitness model, etc. Well, 2018 turned that world upside down for me…and in many ways for my own good. I found myself in a deep depression by the end of 2017, that persisted roughly from October 2017 through January 2018 and during this time the body positive, fitness enthusiast in me hit an all-time low.

Nevertheless, because God is faithful, I have come to a place in life of renewed self-acceptance and body positivity again. An identity absent of the “#fitgirl bodybuilder, athlete, fitness model” title, image, and identity box I let society and social media hold me captive in for the past five years prior to now.

In today’s #MondayManifesto I am proclaiming mini-love letters of appreciation to my body, from A to Z. Listing everything I absolutely love about this crazy machine and all of its pieces of the puzzle that make me ME, fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the most High God (Psalm 139:14).
